Clecim to support its customer to strengthen France’s electromobility sector.
Clecim participates in expansion of ArcelorMittal France new electrical steel production in France in the existing unit of Saint-Chely d’Apcher in South France and in the new unit under construction in Mardyck plant (near Dunkirk) in the North of France.
ArcelorMittal’s electrical steels will contribute to achieving the European Union’s goals on the reduction of CO2 emissions from mobility.
Clecim has been awarded the order for three laser welders dedicated to high-end silicon steel lines. Welding of the latest grades of silicon steel with very high permeability for the automotive industry is an unreachable challenge for the standard welding technologies.
With more than 10 years of experience and patented technology on the solid-state laser cutting and welding technology for the processing lines, Clecim offers the unique feature of welding the widest range of products with minimum maintenance.
Fully engineered, manufactured, and tested in Clecim workshop in France, those machines will be deployed in 2023 and 2024.
