Historic Milestone for the Green Steel transformation in Port Talbot!
On July 14, 2025, Tata Steel UK proudly marked the official start of construction for the UK’s largest low-carbon steelmaking facility at Port Talbot!
During a momentous groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. Natarajan Chandrasekaran, Chairman of Tata Steel and the Tata Group, joined by T. V. Narendran (CEO & MD, Tata Steel), Rajesh Nair (CEO, Tata Steel UK), UK & Wales government ministers, took the first step toward a greener future with Project Invictus.
We’re especially proud that Clecim, together with ABB, is contributing to this transformational journey with the new Continuous Pickle Line — a cornerstone of this ambitious decarbonisation effort.
Representing Clecim, our Chief Commercial Officer Vincent Flores and Chief Technology Officer Sébastien Maillard had the honour of joining this historic moment on site.
